I am looking for suggestions for the purchase of an everyday watch. Something I can wear with my suits but also with my black and blue jeans. I wear my watch on my left wrist and my wedding band is gold. I do not come from money but thanks to some hard work and breaks I now have money. So I am looking for a watch that says I have money but I do not like to spend it. Any suggestions?

Edit: I have no budget but like my post suggest I do not like to spend my money.

No budget? Patek 5231. Sure it'll cost ya 100k, but you can turn around and sell it at any time for 100k so... isn't it basically free?

Look at Grand Seiko’s. I have the snowflake, but many other excellent choices. Excellent quality, beautiful craftsmanship. As good as Rolex (fight me) at half the cost.

Everyone is going to have a different idea of what signals solid quality without ostentation.

If I see someone wearing a Seiko, Citizen, or Hamilton; I assume they know something about watches but don’t care about watches as one-up-manship or display.

But then, I’m more interested in a well cared for Honda Fit than in a new Lamborghini, so take that with a grain of salt.

Rolex Datejust if you can afford it, or Omega Aqua Terra, or if money is a hair tighter than that, Christopher Ward Sealander or Dune.
