An awful lot of orange. Is that real orange or post-interpretation orange?

AFAIK all pictures from the JWST (and likely all other spacecraft) are in black and white to save bandwidth. Any colours at all are an educated guess.

It makes space seem a lot less lonely to see so any stars, regardless of the actual distances between them.
