I really like Kavinsky's latest album Reborn, specifically the song Pulsar.
Second for Reborn. It's solid front to back. I'm a big fan of the Zenith, Vigilante, Zombie stretch from the album.
Check out Power Glove, specifically their EP 2043: Volume 1. It's a bit different to your regular synthwave, it's darker and a bit more influenced by techno.
If you like darksynth, Perturbator. His Dangerous Days album slaps.
Zone85, gunship, Waveshaper
I'm a big fan of Starcadian.
Gunship, Perturbator, Capenter Brut, Gost, Makeup and Vanity
Obvious answer for me is the Midnight. They definitely can be a bit over the top at times.
VHS Dreams, FM-84
Scandroid
Magic Sword, VHS Dreams.
Bart Graft. One of the few that actually knows how to construct a track. Some of my favourites of his:
As far as artists who primarily make synthwave:
Dance With The Dead, FM-84, Gunship, Lazerhawk, Magic Sword, and Miami Nights 1984
I'm also a big fan of Erang (he mostly makes Dungeon Synth music, but he's got a couple of synthwave albums, namely Anti Future and Songs of Scars
Com Truise is great
Perturbator, VHS Glitch, and on the more chiptune/metal side but still synth: Master Boot Record.
I listen to the synthwave lofigirl YouTube livestream at work. It's pretty good.
Mr.Kitty’s Ephemeral album is one of my favorite electronic albums of all time.
Powercyan (RIP), Alex & Tokyo Rose, FOOL, Extra Terra, Lazerpunk, Scandroid, Isidor, NightStop, Arcade High, Headsplitter.
Volkor X is one of my favorites.
