MODERATORS

Welcome to /c/spacex @ sh.itjust.works.

For now, think of this place as sort of a clone of /r/spacexlounge. Talk about what you want, just so it relates to SpaceX. Will add more moderators and actual rules if this ever takes off.

I'm happy to move over here. I'm sure if we can keep this community going, more and more will migrate.

Nice to see some familiar and prolific names here. It would be great if even just some of the more prolific users double-posted their stuff here too. I'll try to make an effort to be more active here.

Awesome! I'll start adding some threads.

I don't have much to add, but I figured, what the heck, I'll sign up. Have a norminal day everyone!

Suggestion - do not add more moderators and rules. Those are the two things that killed both r/SpaceX and r/SpaceXlounge, and the lack of those two things are the reason r/SpaceXmasterrace is unironically the best sub for actual discussion.

I think low quality memes/shitposts can go to c/spaceflightmemes, lax discussion here. No need for rules stricter than that.

I think the split between into three subreddits was necessary after SpaceX became too popular. Of course it was more fun when the community was smaller and more focused. But at a certain point, the influx of new users that would contribute with the same set of basic questions/ideas/memes (“Why doesn’t SpaceX just …”) was too large. /r/SpaceX had to act as a restrictive filter into the community.

Well, we certainly won’t need any of that here for quite some time, I assume …
