Dwarf Fortress has consumed far too many hours as of late. It is wonderful without the actively hostile UI.

Same as always for the last 8 years - rimworld. I started playing back on alpha 12, and it's slowly grown more complicated and deep as time goes on, and I just can't find anything that quite scratches that same itch. I tried out the new Dwarf Fortress updates, but it felt so undercooked that I just went right back to rimworld biotech. Send help.

Been playing Divinity Original Sin 2, trying to finally finish my first campaign with a friend committing genocide against the magisters before BG3 releases.

Currently in my No Man's Sky phase, new expedition dropped the other day and that's took almost all of my attention away from the Minecraft Realm me and a few friends have just started, oops.

GTA Chinatown Wars (PSP version) on my Steam Deck. I tried GTAV first and found it a bit lackluster (it's very well made, but it didn't really grab me), then thought I'd try Chinatown Wars instead and I've been surprised how much I'm enjoying it.

Sometimes after work I need some Chivalry 2 for some fun and brain afk. On weekends an depending on the mood I'm in I play Battle Brothers, Last Epoch, Magic: The Gathering Arena, Mechabellum, Wartales, Dota 2, Hunt: Showdown, Predecessor, Diablo IV

I'm full on Linux (EndeavourOS) and all games run smooth and great.

155ish hours into Elden Ring. Still haven't completely uncovered the map. I just fuckin love playing that game so much. I'm not even concerned with finishing it, I just enjoy playing it.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Pretty much all I have played since it came out, except maybe one evening of Minecraft and a couple games on Jackbox.tv with friends, and also excluding regular DnD sessions.

I had been playing Everspace 2 after waiting years. But, there's something about it that just feels a bit empty and repetitive at the same time? Also I had played **Deathstranding **and that has been fun, but I haven't opened it in like 2 months now D: Also I really want to play continue Half-Life Alex, its so good, but I've been struggling not just lying down and watching youtube/reddit.

One day I'll play Cyberpunk2077, i'm looking forward to that, I keep hearing little tidbits getting fixed every few months. Anyone started that recently?

Just finished Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and have Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy XIV in the works. Have been spending less time on Dead By Daylight than I used to but still play now and then.

I've been playing Planescape Torment, and I love it. After playing Disco Elysium I was looking for rpgs with good writting and I'm having a great time. I'm planning on eventualy getting into more classic CRPG games. I was planning on playing Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura next, lets see how it goes.

I just finished Red Dead Redemption 2. No game has ever moved me like it did. It’s been hard to start another game since almost nothing can compare.

Currently playing Thief Gold and Alien Isolation (depends if I am on the PC or PS4). Alien Isolation didn't like it much, maybe is because I made the mistake of not playing with headphones, but at the beginning was scared then after repeating the same part multiple times because the Alien (the hospital part), started noticing how it is cheating and the one hit kill made it lose a lot of fear factor. This might have happened because I couldn't hear the Alien properly and got caught more easily or because the ambient sound is unnoticeable with the overall noise of my house.

Thief I am liking it a lot, how I am playing it with headphones, I am enjoying the sound design. I can know where every enemy is just with sound instead of relying on a minimap or wall hacks like most modern stealth games do. It has been a really good experience even if it has been mostly playing the first two levels in different difficulties.

I finally bought a Playstation 5 and now I'm playing through Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Then it's probably Last of Us and then God of War.

[–] thurmshire@vlemmy.net 6 points 1 year ago

I’ve been clearing the map in Jedi Survivor, but I don’t know that I’ll finish. Maybe just get all the upgrades, Koboh is just so spread out.

Then I think I’ll start the Dead Space remake. I missed it the first time around, while I was on a break cuz I was broke.

recently got addicted to crab champions thanks to a few friends, been really fun

[–] BobGnarley@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

I just got the new PSVR2 Bundle and it comes with the new Horizon so I'm about to be playing that. I am hella stoked

Other than TotK I just started Miles Morales the other day and already at 50%. When I'm done with that I'm gonna pick Forbidden West back up which I pretty much just started when Zelda came out.

[–] Whooping_Seal@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I have been playing Ocarina of Time 3d as well as Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, the 3ds is really a great console. Given the new update I have also been getting back into Minecraft, it is a small update but I do enjoy many of the little things that were added and it is a great excuse to spend some time with friends.

Mostly overwatch and sometimes beatsaber on quest

Picked up Spiderman: Miles Morales on a recent sale and have been having a blast swinging around the city. Played the first one a while back and it never clicked with me but for some reason I'm really enjoying this one.

Arkham City, mostly creeping around as Catwoman.

Halls of Torment! It's a horde survival game with a Diablo vibe, I love it

[–] LeChatParle@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

I've been playing Pokemon Violet. It's okay. I plan on buying the new Zelda game this month for sure though

[–] lamarre08@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

I've just finished star wars kotor 2 on the switch and decided to try bioshock since it was included with the ps+ extra subscription. Having the urge to play Chrono Trigger though or secret of mana. Might do that soon! Old games just seems more interesting for me at the moment.

A match or two of counterstrike after work and usually project zomboid in the evening. Just started POLYGON last night, might be playing that for a bit.

Ori and the will of the wisps. That game is absolutely gorgeous and it's easy to lose myself in that environment for a while.

[–] oh_so_hazey@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

With the recent news of Nintendo trying to block emulators on Steam, I got the itch to play some GoldenEye 007. It's way harder than I remember it being.

Of course, that might just be because I always played the easiest difficulty when I was younger and/or the fact that modern controls just kinda suck with N64 games, but whatta ya gonna do, y'know? 🤔

[–] Oida@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 until I go too frustrated by the Karma system, so I switched to Horizon Zero Dawn, which I really loved a lot. Afterward, I was a bit lost. God of War and Elden Ring were too stressful/frustrating for me, so I switched back to RDR2. But I like the System Shock remake also a lot.

Taking my time with Tears of the Kingdom.

Once I beat it, I plan to jump on Yakuza 5 in order to continue my journey through this awesome series! Missing 'only' 5, 6, Ishin! and the Judgment games.

[–] Ava@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Some friends and I just finished our first run in For The King. We made some bad choices at the end, but managed to complete it! We'll probably take a break now but go for another round soon.

Also, my family has been playing through Torchlight II together for the past couple of months. It's a little buggy, but still tons of fun in a group.
