Let me be a Captain Obvious here and say this:

Diskarte should not mean getting one's way at others' expense.

proud to be Filipino

kada achivement ng iba, nakikiproud to be, example may athlete na may Fil. blood, nakikiproud to be agad, anu un kasama ka ba sa training para maachieve yun?

isang notorious na example,

sa sobrang proud to be, wala nNg fact checking,

may mag kwento lng na alam mo ba na ang nag imbento ng flourecent lamp ay Fil. si Agapito Flores.

tanginang fake news yan. sa sobrang proud to be, minsan pati sa school naituturo yang Agapito na yan.

may kasabihan nga, ang foreign youtuber na gipit, sa proud to be Filipino content kumakapit.

@putangina@lemmy.world Good question!

  1. Cancel culture, we don't need that foreign culture here.

  2. taking photos/videos of anyone without asking for permission with the intention of shaming them. It is a violation of their #Privacy to mention one (there are others).

  3. #Copyright infringement - using, translating, creative derivative works, re-uploading/re-distributing someone else's work without permission or license.

  4. The foolish #CTTO (Credit-To-The-Owner), because if you don't have a permission or a license to use, re-use, re-upload/re-distribute, translate, create derivative works, of someone's work, it still is Copyright infringement.

  5. Threatening to and shaming people who are failing / failed to pay the money they borrowed. It is a violation of their Privacy.

🤔 Those are the ones I can think of right now.

On that note: Happy 🇵🇭 #IndependenceDay from #Spain! #June12 #Philippines!

#Copyright infringement - using, translating, creative derivative works, re-uploading/re-distributing someone else’s work without permission or license.

The foolish #CTTO (Credit-To-The-Owner), because if you don’t have a permission or a license to use, re-use, re-upload/re-distribute, translate, create derivative works, of someone’s work, it still is Copyright infringement.

Sadly, to break it for you, copyright and IP (intellectual proprety, not internet protocol) are an alien concept to the citizens of this country. In fact, it's the NORM HERE.

Did anyone else remember Eneru PH and Lods TV copying RealLifeLore's content?

Also political campaign songs for barangays are basically popular songs on YouTube with their own lyrics on top of it!!

I remember Eneru PH and Kaalaman as well

Yung ever classic offspring curse na komo naka graduate, next in line na sa responsibildad sa pamilya (or mga kapatid). If you choose to give back, they will abuse you. If you choose otherwise, madamot or wala kang utang na loob. Hahaha.

Politics! Sa tv, sa internet sa bahay! Tama na. Di na nga ako nag visit sa r/Philippines since nung election time before duterte dahil diyan.

[–] aqua_synonym@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Utang na loob. I mean, it's good to pay back but the moment you pay back, they feel like they are indebted to you and they pay you back. That makes it an endless cycle of give and take and is often weaponized to win elections or favors

[–] uzhcuzh@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Stop: A lot of Pinoys are too afraid to say no kesyo boss nagsabi o kamag-anak, kahit na labag sa loob mong pumayag.

Start normalizing sidewalks haha

For me the camaraderie, even the father of psychology of ph notice it much more frequent in Philippines, it defies logic, will create unhealthy relationship dynamic, and overall unfair if one person or party is advantageous. "Hayaan mo na lang kasi kapatid mo naman yan", "Penge, tropa naman tayo eh" "Taenang yan damot parang walang pinagsamahan

The phrase "bahala na". I dont know why but we're all just conditioned to just take things as it is when we can clearly make things better.
