I'm pretty sure that there are spending caps on election ads once the writ is dropped, so this shouldn't come as a surprise since the CPC has been going full tilt for at least a year.

When the whole campaign plan was to get easy points dunking on Trudeau and the carbon tax, it's a little hard to do when there is no longer a Trudeau or carbon tax he is running against.

PPs whole persona is whining about Trudeau, he is a lost puppy without him.
