The state's legislature on Tuesday is set to debate a bill that would loosen child labor laws, allowing children as young as 14 years old to work overnight shifts. If the new law is passed, teenagers would be able to work overnight jobs on school days. They are currently prevented from working earlier than 6:30 am or later than 11 pm per state law.

If the company can't afford a living wage. Shut it down or give its assets to an organization that will. Rolling back sensible regulations is total lunacy.

This is wrong. Children do not need to be working that young.

Have you considered the profits that can be made if we ~~exploit~~ encourage school aged children to learn a trade? Think of the value to the shareholders!

Back in my day, losing a finger made you appreciate hard work and made you into a real man before you were an adult.

My distant aunt husband hands are wrecked like twisted mutation from the thing due to factory accident. Everytime I see him I can't imagine living every day like that. Forget the money ill take my hands back. Can't imagine that happening to a small child.

Ah yes, making America "great" again. I guess the last time it was great was 1811.

So Florida is officially Frostpunk now? I'm curious if they'll go for safe jobs or all jobs for children. It also sounds like they're picking up emergency shifts. It's not a bad strategy to be honest, especially for the early game.
