Do you like Dream Theater? Any thoughts on their latest release with Mike Portnoy back behind the drumkit?
I used to listen to DT a lot, but I kinda stopped following them after Octavarium. Their latest release is honestly not really interesting to me. Theyβve been kinda creatively stagnant for a while, even with Portnoyβe return. The songs just have the same repetitive formula and arrangements. Meanwhile newer bands like Haken (who are the most similar to DT in my opinion) have been making amazing music.
Oh 100% agree. Haken are some of the best in the game right now.
