This is wild moment in history.
What's crazy is how each indictment paints a picture. Campaign finance: eh, a little political mischief, perhaps. We'll see how it shakes out.
Retaining documents? That's definitely illegal, but maybe its one of those victimless crimes, and the judge likes him. Perhaps more noise than action.
Fomenting an insurrection. Well, that's certainly a big deal. Very dramatic. Guess he'll say he wasn't responsible for other people rioting. Seems like there's a lot of evidence, but it's a complicated case, so who can say how it goes.
Racketeering? Well shit... I mean, yeah, he was like tweeting *'Hey everyone change the results of the election or fucking else!' *
Each covers a slightly different angle on his behavior, but nothing quite brings it together like 'This fucking organized crime ring went around intimidating witness and offering bribes and shit. Half of it was in public.' Like... racketeering isn't poetic or vague or from a Tom Clancy novel. That's pretty classic mob boss shit. I feel like even his supporters can just say, 'Well, yeah... that's what we like about him. The mob boss shit.'
I've got know idea how this ends. Do some of the younger folks take plea deals? I was skeptical, but I'm honestly starting to think that this ex-president might really spend time in jail like Al Capone.
Perhaps this "Biden Crime Family" thing was just projection all along...
