some leek and potato soup for dinner would be nice . Never made it before. How hard could it be. some leeks, potatoes, garlic, black pepper, a vegie stock cube

Yep that's about it. If you whiz it up put a little bit of warm milk in there to give it a "creamy" look otherwise it looks like pureed baby food. Also avoid any green bits from the leek unless you like green soup. I don't mind green soup.
