It’s mildly infuriating when you google some specific tech issue and the first result that pops up is a Reddit post. You click on it knowing the answer is there and when the page loads you just see [deleted].

Sorry for the rant.

I get it. It’s why we’re all here. It’s just sad that such a rich wealth of knowledge has been destroyed. I don’t want to compare it to the burning of the Alexandria Library because that didn’t actually happen and it deteriorated over time and only a small portion was lost in a fire, but god damnit, it kinda feels like that. Reddit was the hub of information on so many specifics from an insanely diverse range of topics. I truly hope we can build it back here or really just anywhere. I hate to sound dramatic but the real losers in all of this are the people searching for information.
