FWIW, in case anyone cares or has a resolution, I have found Firefox on the iPad will not log into Beehaw. Site comes up fine, but when I try to log in I just get a spinning circle. I am using Safari to log in and it is fine. If this is fixable, cool. If it is not, I can deal. Thanks.

I just had the same problem with Firefox on Fedora Linux, had to log in with Chromium. I hope this can get fixed.

That's rather odd.. I use Firefox on Fedora Linux as well and it works.

Ah, I found out what the problem was. I use Bitwarden and auto-fill doesn't work. If I manually copy and paste, then it works. Still strange as I have never encountered this problem on any other site.

I think the problem is your password is too long, I've seen this happen before.

What happens if that you can copy paste it since it'll crop the password but when it forces it in through the password manager, it doesn't get cropped and therefore fails.

Thanks for the clarification. I think in that case there should be an explicit password length cap.

I entirely agree! There's an issue about this problem https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/1120
