It was interesting seeing this headline over the weekend. RPG platform DrivethruRPG has also come out with a similar statement.

it definitely feels like microtransactions in particular have soured a lot of committed gamers and capital-g Gamers on NFTs preemptively, and it reflects in how much backlash even big corporations like ubisoft get when talking about trying to do NFTs
