Herbs and leafy greens right now (especially with facing east; should be easier on a newer grower.)
Go with tried and true: Basils, Rosemary, Thymes, Sage, Oregano. Romaine Lettuce, Rocket, Swiss chard, Kale
Herbs will be useable from purchase (should still be a nursery somewhere with some 4” pots that are hanging on or could try from seed.)
The leafy greens shouldn’t take too long to get started. They are a late summer start to sow the seeds but now is fine.
