Kind of but not exactly either.
I would say r/all "Hot" is the closest thing to a universal front page there was on Reddit...
Reddit had Front pages for each country, with additional tailorings from your subscribed subreddits. I'd say this makes most front pages for logged in users fairly unique.
To your point about seeing something like that on Lemmy... Lemmy.world's front page is kind of Reddit-like imo. And we are still missing some sort of community grouping feature in Lemmy itself whether its "multireddit", "hashtags" or some other thing.
