The killing of Nahel M, 17, has sparked riots in cities across France as well as the town of Nanterre to the west of Paris where he grew up.

I honestly don't understand why anyone "backs the blue" here in the US. I grew up as poor, white trash and got my balls broken by police just as much as anyone else yet my same poor, white trash fam has a hard on for police. It's so fricken weird. I won't feel comfortable with police until they stop carrying guns or at least have them locked in their truck and require authorization or something.
