From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

What are they trying. What's the idea behind selling low spec phones with flagship pricing?

Are there any cheaper/higher spec phones that are assembled in the USA? Most of the price difference when compared to their models that are assembled in China are simply due to the the different operating costs between the countries.

I don't know, I'm not from there. Anyway I don't think this is a good way to make a business mainstream.

I'm not from the US either, but Purism sells a version that is made in China for a fraction of the price so I'd say that this version of the phone is specifically for people who want a phone assembled over in the states.

But Chinese version is not that cheap, it's the half maybe but not less than that. And a 1000 dollars doesn't look fair for 4GB phone. I don't know if I'm right if not but that's my opinion.
