ITT: not hidden gems
Dude, you were quick to forget about the reddit threads of "hidden gems", where the top voted answers were Skyrim, Witcher 3 and RDR2.
This is a gold mine in comparison...
There's this sweet rarely known game where you punch trees and build stuff but you've probably never heard of it
Ark?
Minecraft but close enough
IIRC, you punch the trees down in Raft, too. I think it was Raft....
Damn, I didn't even know that. We're still in the early game, I made a axe like a plebian
Christ, I think I actually got triggered by this comment because of some old friend who used to simp so hard for that game, despite it being horribly buggy.
I didn't think anyone else ever heard of Witcher 3!!!!
I really hoped we’d leave this cynical garbage on Reddit. The top comments in this post are mostly listing hidden gems.
Have you guys heard of SKYRIM?
Go away, Todd!
Needs more celeste
Haha there's quite a few that aren't but I haven't heard of a ton of these!
My recommendation is Celeste and Hollow Knight
Such underground classics!
wait I actually love those games, carry on.
It's strange to think about how the overwhelming majority of video game players have never played the greatest indie games. I can tell when a game is a passion project made with love vs a shitty game at a shitty job with a deadline so call of duty 29 comes out on time.
I don't mean to degrade people who enjoy those games, but to ignore indie games is missing out on so much.
It's hidden gems OR recommendations. People are recommending what they like without saying they're "hidden gems" and there are plenty actually recommending smaller games.
Yeah I was really excited to look into this thread and then I see:
