For me:
Wo Long, again, on the PS5 this time and with the Season Pass. I'm a freak so I'll get it done before the first DLC drops this week
FFXVI. I have many, many thoughts about this game right now but I'll hold my tongue until I finish it. i probably will.
PSO2:NG. I'm done with grad school so I'm delving into those big, forever games again. FFXIV is boring to me now so I thought I'd give NG a try. I played PSO2 a lil bit now and again. if you play this lemme know! I'm on Ship 3, but I literally just started, so
Battle Bit Remastered. The only FPS I've ever been good at is Apex. This is not that, but it's fun and low stakes so I'll take it.
Ender Lilies and Afterimage. I've been on a Metroidvania kick lately
Street Fighter 6. still searching for my main (and my skill in this game)
I've been playing "Haiku the Robot" that was recently featured in Humble's Metroidvania bundle. It's a really nice, small Hollow Knight clone.
Haiku is great! Super cute and I like the sorta lo-fi, near-Game Boy Color aesthetic it has.
Hey, I play POS2:NG as well! It's a pretty fun game, tons to collect and customize, plus where they added your own island, there's more to grind for. I only deep dive occasionally, when there's something I really want, or my mates get back into it. Combat is pretty fun, so don't be afraid to try out different classes!
One thing I would note about PSO2:NG is that it's just as aggressively monetized as it's predecessor, so keep a tight hold on your wallet. It's got a subscription service for typical premium benefits, but there's no BP thankfully.
One thing heavily promoted by PSO2 is the Scratch Ticket feature. Scratch Tickets are basically gachas for cosmetics. This can include emotes, animations for running, jumping, and gliding, clothing and accessories. There's typically around 4-5 depending on events and whatnot. There's a free scratch that's done once a day, has some pretty basic stuff that does get additions as prior scratch tickets grow older (note that not all content is added, as lots of scratch tickets are re-run), the SG (freemium currency) scratch ticket and AC scratch tickets.
That's not to say you can't earn AC, as a lot of compensation is given out for maintenance, any major bugs or things like that. It's just that you're not going to be able to earn AC by actively playing outside of these compensations, and paying.
I'm on ship 2, and like I said, not typically on, but if you ever have questions or need help running stuff, just hit me up.
