The exact details may never be known, but Mr. Hackman, 95 with advanced Alzheimer’s, was alone for about a week after his wife and sole caregiver died.

One does not move to Santa Fe to be ostentatious despite property values. This all tracks. Doesn't make it any better how it played out.

Northern New Mexico is a world you have to experience for yourself to fully grasp. It is utterly unlike anywhere else I've lived, but I was drawn to it because of childhood experiences.
