It's very strange not to mention the most universal standard IM protocol, #XMPP (or #Jabber). I had put it as number one, maybe in its incarnation #Snikket 🙂

Also, as we are here in the #Fediverse and you are in the business of open, federated, standard email, I suggest to leave out all centralised walled gardens (Signal, Threema, Wire, Telegram, iMessage, Google Messages). They all do harm to users #digitalSovereignty.
