A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Time was, at least for me, the largest subs held the most appeal on account of comment quality and volume. That's been flipped on its head; the volume's still there, but it's mostly noise and a waste of time. For long-tail topics like building out a DC power system, I've really not found a better solution despite having intended to leave last year.

People talk about SEO as though it's something other than gaming search algorithms despite that being exactly what it is. It's in the name, after all. SEO is humans writing for machines in hopes of driving more humans to read content known to be lacking on its own merit. Writing a dating profile entirely in C makes more sense.
