What's your take on Geo. F. Trumper creams? I don't see them used often.

I bought one at first years ago. But even then, I was underwhelmed with the performance. Kinda like TOBS.

I enjoyed the scents a lot, especially Rose. I haven't used them often enough to judge their performance yet.

One of the worst scents in a shaving soap I've ever used was the TOBS Sandalwood. Smelled like a truck stop urinal cake! AND... it wouldn't go away. I smelled it on myself for several hours later that day!

But on the flip side, the one tub of TOBS I kept was Jermyn St. Love that scent.

Funny you say that, I got TOBS Sandalwood aftershave balm a few years back, when I was very new to wetshaving and it's the reason why I long thought I hate the scent of sandalwood 😄

Yeah, later I would learn that many "older" sandalwood shaving products just naturally had all those florals and other things in there.

I may not like Trumper's and TOBS creams, much... however, I do like their sturdy tubs!

Yeah, they remind me of Royal Mail mailboxes. Built to last 😄

I have a couple of samples. The performance is fine, but not impressive.

I've smelled Limes and Almond. If you like simple scents, they're fine. I prefer more complex fragrance compositions.

GFT creams aren't bad. I just killed a tube of Limes not too long ago. I'd say their performance is similar to the Proraso creams. I'll probably pick up another tube in the future.

I sniffed Limes in the shop the other day, and I hesitated between it and Rose. I really like the scents: simple, maybe a bit old fashioned, pleasant.

I have never used them but the name sounds like some kind of some made up mascot for the Nationa Geographic Kids magazine that I used to get as a kid.
