I gave Melbcat the last of a tin of Coles wet food and it was refused like it has been for like a week... then I opened the Woolies stuff of the same flavour and gave her a spoonful. That was eaten eagerly. So I gave her more with her usual meds and it all got eaten. I could have been getting her normal medications into her this whole time.

Was there something up with the freshness of that tin or is the Coles brand now not to her taste? I have so many more tins of that brand because Coles delivery slots cost a fraction of Woolies ๐Ÿ˜ข

(Ideally I'd be shopping Aldi or IGA but require delivery. Also the moobean has very specific needs in cat food and I only just found home brands she can eat)

Cats. They just decide randomly to stop liking the food that was perfectly fine.

They do ๐Ÿ˜ข She stopped eating the seafood basket flavour of the Woolies food even, just because. And the available options are already so limited by her allergies.

I saw a $5 delivery slot and a promotion of 50 points per can so did a bulk order of the Woolies cat food tins in the one remaining flavour (tuna mince) and threw in a big bag of their home brand litter. It's possible I won't get them all due to stock levels but that will save paying delivery on frequent smaller orders.

If she starts hating this stuff it's back to tiny nutritionally incomplete luxury tins or high end stuff with lamb and kangaroo
