Once the servers for Gran Turismo Sport go down, you won't even be able to save your progress in the single player, either. There is no reason for single player stuff to be always online.

GT2 is getting a little tough on the eyes, but holy cow when that game came out was it ever the cars meow.

FM2 is probably the same, it's more nostalgia for me than anything. FM4 was pretty great too for sure. I have my 360 downstairs, but it's unhooked at the moment. There's pretty good emulation these days, you might be able to play it that way.
