I think people 😘 find them more obnoxious 😱 than informative, and rate πŸ’― opinions higher than 😜 emotional reactions, because emotions are πŸ€‘ cheap and add nothing to a constructive πŸ—οΈ discussion

I'll probably respond here instead of under the post: I use emojis to denote sarcasm or strong reactions usually, so I don't feel the need to spray posts with them.

Otoh they do have an ability to make anything seem silly and/or advertising πŸ˜… so for the comical effect, why not 乁⁠(⁠ ⁠⁰͑⁠ ⁠Ĺ̯⁠ ⁠⁰͑⁠ ⁠)⁠ ⁠ㄏ
