I really like how Cartier Santos look, the shinning square metal bezel is just so beautiful, and I like the blue hands on the white face too. But there's no way for me to afford a Cartier watch, so I've always wanted to get a Seiko Mod version of Santos to get that kind of look.

Then I see the Full Metal G-Shock video by Britt Pearce. The square one GMW-B5000D-1ER reminds me the Santos immediatly. Especially when the bracelet has very similar design.

The finished Seiko mod Santos usually sells around $300~$350, and the Square Full Metal G-Shock sells around $450. How do you guys think of these 2 watches? If I'm going to get one of them, which one should I get?

I usually don't mind mods, but that is a terrible blatant copy of a cartier santos with seiko printed on the dial. Nothing except the movement came from seiko, it's worth like 80$ tops. You're better off getting the casio in my opinion

Yeah the quality of the mod is also a consideration for me. I've searched for the individual parts for makeing such modded Seiko, but the price isn't cheaper anywhere, so I thought if I'm going to buy one maybe just buy from someone who has done the assembly so I can save some time from troubles during the modding process.

But yeah Casio seems to be more solid in case of the quality.
