Started into the hobby (unintentionally) with the caravelle chronograph purchase a year ago, and decided a few months later that rabbit holes were so much fun 🥴 citizen was the latest pickup to fill the box. Next up is the orient “Kamasu II” to get my first diver. I decided that I wanted to go with only Japanese brands until I can afford my first luxury watch and then I’ll go Swiss, although a grand seiko spring drive is definitely in my future as well. Anyways, let me know what you think!

Looks like a nice start of a trend of collecting quantity instead of quality. Instead of buying up china garbage to get "your first ____" why not save $ and actually buy something you'll enjoy and want to keep until you die.

If having luxury watches is your thing then that’s good for you! For me I don’t need a watch to have a certain level of “hype factor” around it for me to enjoy it and want to keep it until I die. All the watches I’ve selected I absolutely love and are great value for their price. I’d also suggest you do a bit more research on Japanese watchmaking and its history before you make more uneducated comments passing it off as “Chinese garbage”
