Hope this is the right spot. I tried looking in the FAQ and buyers guide a bit but figured talking with others may be more productive.
I am looking for a new watch- looking more so for function over form. with a price range of $100 or less.
I constantly work outdoors in some remote areas and am looking for something sturdy that it wouldn't be a big deal getting muddy or other random junk on. I also lifeguard and would appreciate something that I can keep on while in the water and wouldn't have to worry about damaging.
In the past I've found that metal straps are difficult because I have a pretty small wrist and removing the sections is usually a pain.
I'm not sure if there are any other factors that I should think about or consider but would appreciate help from the community thank you.
G-shock is well liked by the watch community and is well known to be hard to destroy. You'll see them on soldier's wrists and also see them in rich man's watch collection.
The classic g-shock model is the DW5600, and you can find variation of that model under and around 100 USD.
