Live news. I'm seeing at least 22 dead via NBC. Here's a feed from ABC: https://abcnews.go.com/US/live-updates/lewiston-maine-mass-shooting/?id=104322983

Edit: There were reports of 3 locations and there is a shelter in place directive, but some places are only reporting two: Sparetime Recreation (bowling alley, first calls) and Schemengees Bar and Grille (restaurant, later calls). There is speculation that maybe a Wallmart distribution Center was the third? These locations are about 3 minutes from eachother.

CNN suggests they don't have the shooter's Subaru because police are asking for people to call in if they've seen it.

The sheriff’s office released images of a “suspect for identification.” The person was seen holding a high-powered assault-style rifle.

The Sun Journal newspaper reported law enforcement responded to Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley on Mollison Way and Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street.

Officials in the nearby city of Auburn, Maine, also “strongly urged” residents to shelter in place due to the ongoing active shooter situation, according to a post on X, formerly Twitter.

The FBI has offered personnel and resources to local authorities, a spokesperson from the bureau’s Boston field office told CNN.

I will to continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with public safety officials,” the governor said on Facebook.
