I have seen that the lemmy.ml mods will openly ban discussion about the CCP. I am wondering if the sh.itjust.works team allows criticism of government bodies, while still banning racism.

I wouldn't even say "big parts of the platform". Beehaw, Lemmy.world, sh.itjust.works have large enough userbases now to counterbalance Lemmy.ml

The biggest communities are still local to lemmy.ml though (for now)

Still 7 of top 10 are lemmy.ml... but yeah, glad to see beehaw growing! When I tried to sign up there it never worked :<

I think beehaw is getting absolutely hammered rn, I feel kind of bad for their operators. It was one of the two instances recommended when I started considering moving to lemmy.
