So, who's seen it and what did you think?

I went to see it the other day and, not having any particular high expectations, was rather pleasantly surprised!

Sure, it's not as good as the first trilogy, but better than the crystal skull (which still was decent imho).

The de-aging was very well done and it had some nice fan service.

Could've toned down the action scenes a bit, they were rather long at times, but I still really enjoyed it. It was a fun movie. :)

Movie moguls covered up their stars' misdemeanours for fear of losing public approval and box office takings.

The writers strike continues and according to this report many people on the inside don't expect it to end before September.

A few for me are:

-The Lord of the Rings Trilogy credits: due to music.

-Shrek Forever After (4) recaps all the movies, very nice ending to the series.

I just finished watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and I have to say it’s one of the most well done shows I’ve ever seen. It’s so flippin’ funny and the writers poignantly deal with a number of societal issues in progressive ways: bigotry, racism, sexism, social expectations, parenting, LGBTQIA+ and more. The storyline is interesting, the quirky characters are endearing. The cast was superb and the costumes amazing. If you haven’t seen it, I ighly recommend.

This is unreal. She's been accused of years of grooming minors for those unaware. The allegations she's facing as well as those around her is intense, with potential legal consequences in the making. Major content warning to those who seek out articles on the matter, of course. She's had a pretty successful Netflix show, and I believe a Broadway show as well? She's a pretty early OG youtuber.

So... she decided to whip out a ukelele and start playing a song for an apology after days of increasingly being under fire. I never thought that a worse Influencer apology would ever be made, but she did it.

Apologies if this isn't a good community to post by the way, I just haven't seen any discussion of this on here yet and I just need to bask in just how baffling it is.

I'm really looking forward to season 2 of Mushoku Tensei that's airing in just 4 days; as well as new seasons of The Eminence in Shadow and Spy X Family in October sometime.

I'll also probably check out Dekiru Neko (The Masterful Cat) and that one isekai where the mc is reincarnated as hecking vending machine... how much crazier can these get? :s
