My partner and I went backpacking for the first time this weekend! It was overall a really positive experience, but the hike ended up being longer than it said in the guidebook and it rained the entire way back, so it definitely pushed our limits. The sound of the rain in the forest was lovely and the misty mountain views were still quite stunning.

I just had a bag from the grocery store that I didn't use in time so I chopped a few in half and planted them. They grow really fast and they're doing great right now!
I've been really enjoying rereading Fellowship with his narration, looking forward to doing the whole series! That man has range!
Pycharm debugger has been great for me recently, I love the feature where you can drop into an ipython repl and interact with your program state.
I'm in an apartment with a north-facing balcony - I definitely wish I could grow more, but you'd be surprised how much you can do. I've successfully done carrots and potatoes in 5-gallon buckets, as well as pots of herbs.
This time of year I get sun until mid-morning and after mid-afternoon - it might be for the best actually that I'm shaded from the noon sun.
This year I've got snap peas growing up the railings, a couple of peppers, and a few tomatoes as well as the carrots, potatoes, and miscellaneous herbs. Everything's doing great right now but when it really starts getting hot in July I'll be watering at least daily. That's the biggest challenge with containers - they need a lot more watering because you just don't have the volume of soil to keep it damp for long.
I also have a shelf of salad greens under grow lights inside. I definitely recommend that, they grow really fast and taste great!
I really like this statement I heard recently, which I think came from the YouTube Adventurous Way - "Dumb Control, Smart Monitoring". Make sure that any devices you install have failure models that make sense - you should still be able to control your appliances when the network is down.
That said, the option to remotely control lights, etc is fantastic. I also recommend setting up some temperature sensors in various places - I have quite a few ESP33 boards scattered around with sensors (and and one with an IR blaster) attached.

Agree that there should be a way to hide posts permanently - it's kind of annoying to always scroll past the same pinned posts at the top of the "Local" view.
These are great! Koi in a bowl is such a good idea, and the frogs are super cute!
