Polarization doesn't help anyone. Both groups are suffering as they retreat further and further into their own in-groups. It sucks and it takes a lot of conscious effort on all parties' part to overcome. And unreciprocated effort feels awful and risks pushing people away at an even faster rate.

I'm not sure we're really equipped, as a society/species to overcome that effort barrier given our current information diet (infinite) and our stupid monkey brains (very limited).

LOL these comments are a hint as to why things are so bad here and we need this movie. It's like people can't conceive of a nonpartisan message. The only thing they seem to understand is "other side bad, tho". And I'm very much someone who thinks the other side is bad. But for the love of god that's not the point of the movie.

I think I saw this in a Bugs Bunny cartoon once.

When I was in middle school the girl I was crushing on and went on proto-dates with had a dad that was a political science teacher for the high school. He asked me my political leanings and I said "conservative" and my only reasoning was that I didn't dress "weird" or dye my hair.

I think about that a lot and I don't even know why.

Literally mistaking nostalgia as a government/globalist conspiracy. She is not mentally well.
