The exact same thing here. Ran a script while I still could use the API to also delete all of my comments and post after editing them. I'm leaving nothing behind as much as possible. In my reason for leaving text, I stated that even if the decision is reversed or adjusted, I can no longer trust Reddit to make good decisions.
I think the meaning is that humanity will connect again and the location of that reconnection is the fediverse.
Though, tbf, the fediverse is similar to the old internet, consisting of small, interconnected networks. So you could say this is happening again.

I remember learning about him a few years ago through SpaceX and then Tesla and being like: "Huh. Someone with money helping advance science."
Fast forward to today, and every time I see his name in an article, I'm expecting it to be associated with some dumb stuff he's said or done. And most of the time that expectation is correct.

To calm your nerves: It's impossible to open the doors mid-flight due to the immense pressure difference. Despite this plane being so close to the ground, I'm somewhat impressed this kind of feat was pulled off.
I wonder if you have to do it in full with the instance and everything, like @dessalines@lemmy.ml or something. That's how it works on Mastodon at least.
