As I also posted on the other thread: this isn't true.

While there’s a big push to book an appointment online and do smaller admin stuff yourself (requesting an ID and driving license), municipalities still have to allow people to book on the spot, or help them on the kiosks available. Actual efficiency depends on the friendliness of the administrative people in question I guess, but it’s absolutely still possible to not have to go online for it.

From the flemish website

(…)Maar waar ze altijd welkom zijn op het gemeentehuis als ze dat wensen.

aka: They’re always still welcome to visit public services in person if they prefer to do that.

When a fish bites your heel and it looks like an eel, that's a moray!

Also really depends on the frequency and reason. Did something go horribly wrong once and does this one-time effort fix it or gives enough time for a decent solution down the road? Sure, I'll put in some extra work. Don't look for me though when it's resolved, I'm on holiday with all the overtime I should've gotten. If it's a structural problem because management wants to squeeze as much money out of their employees and refuses to hire enough people... Fuck that. And yeah, corporate uses the first thing as an excuse, luring you into staying longer "one more time, we really can't do it without you".

Just wanted to know if you're still around?

As a general tip: you usually have to apply for assistance beforehand. Doesn't mean it isn't shitty though, and if your train is delayed then and you miss a connection...

At the end of the day, they're still carbohydrates and theoretically could be broken down into Co2/methane/alcohol or other short carbon components.

Flemish here (aka dutch-speaking). We say first June, sixth November etc. English isn't our native language, so M/D/Y is weird as fuck and completely illogical to us.

If it's in a biodome, I'm sure they'd be thrilled to give you a bit more information if you mail them your question. Please report back with the reply!

Then do this to computer-shaped instrument controller systems that have accounts that can not have passwords changed or the application won't run. Or service accounts, so if you pop in after 6 months, nobody knows the current password and the IT guy only comes in 2 hours/week. And that was yesterday. And no, no contact information present...

Secretly? I thought this was common knowledge. Mine definitely demands worship and pets every day.

Yeah, at the very least scratch the "face to face". I'd be more inclined to agree if a message or a call is acceptable, but some guys you really, really don't want to see in person a second time.

Shawls! (cdn.discordapp.com)

I recently took crocheting back up after a decade, and this is my first finished shawl ever. Two of my friends are getting married in autumn, and they both like to wear shawls so I decided I'd make one for each of them (and if they don't like it, I'm sure their cats will appreciate their new basket liner).

The one at the top is just finished, and is a free pattern Klaziena shawl with Scheepjes brambleberry whirl. The end corners are a bit turned inside, but well, first shawl ever, could've been worse.

This is the second one, Ceylon Tea shawl pattern with Peppermint Patty scheepjes whirl. Still got quite a ways to go, but I'm really loving the pattern!

Only recently took up crocheting again, and I'm really loving making shawls. This is my second one, my take on the Ceylon Tea shawl found here
