swww is a daemon for wayland that lets you change your wallpaper in real time and can display moving Gifs and a ton of other formats (everything you'd expect) plus some free and OSS image formats like the ones from suckless. It also has these sick transition animations

I wish she'd just drop a tutorial on how to crack Denuvo so that a few more could try it lol.

Just start using the CLI to do anything and everything. Look at people's bash scripts and look at the tools they use and then run man on them and --help. Tldr is a good tool to get some basic examples of a tools use. A cli tool is not that much different from a GUI tool but it has a lot of benefits like being able to see error messages and far more custom actions.

Learn to set up a cozy command line experience. I use ZSH for an interactive prompt with history search that matches the letters that are typed, starship, and fzf tab complete and reverse history search. It makes a big difference.

Then use tools like pure bash Bible on github and the wooledge website. There's another site that tells you what every part of a command does.

Ranger file manager Exa for ls replacement Bat for cat replacement Fzf Patched mpv for kitty terminal with video support. Btop for nicer top Swayimg or ueberzueg for image overlay Scrcpy, adb and waydroid for Android software Ripgrep Wl-clipboard, wlr-randr and cliphist Wofi or rofi Gammastep

I tried to run a Mac VM recently on an amd 6700xt on Hyprland, and it went pretty well. I had a few issues like needing to pass my mouse through and toggle back and forth and it crashed once and took the desktop session with it lol outside of that it was interesting. I mainly run waydroid and windows in a VM for certain software needs.

I'm interested in it. It claims to be quite a bit faster but I'm curious as to how practical it is.

Yikes this is so insane. I'm so sick of the ads and spyware laden apps. Once you look into that abyss it's hard to unsee it. It's uncomfortable to have every aspect of you monetized and viewed. It's unnatural man. I just started hardening my internet and device use this year.

I use EndeavourOS because I really like the community around it and it has all the benefits of Arch Linux. The only real difference is the minimal EndeavourOS repo and a few sanity settings. I love it.

This is a cool site. I'm trying to set up my first server since I started work again and this looks helpful
