Complete freedom is called anarchy.

to be clear you mean more so the worth of a quest 2 rather than an index, right?
why do people care about karma so much tho?
as an Estonian, about damn time. Such a silly topic to keep arguing over.
So that's why I thought "local multiplayer" implies LAN, while what OP really meant is splitscreen multiplayer.
lan, local area network. I guess people see it differently.
I was a bit confused when you said local co-op. It implies 2 computers on the same local network(connected to the same router, no internet connection required). I think the term you're looking for is split screen gaming.
When I looked at pictures of Spelunky games like Clonk and Liero popped into mind, I think there are options for split screen multiplayer in those games, they're old school PvP games.
An interesting one I watched lately is Career Opportunities, but it's intensely early 90s and almost requires a bit of a smoke session before watching if you're into that kind of thing. Not an amazing story but really colorful and interesting art style. It's almost in the realm of good because of how bad it is.
it's not a reddit thing
I think the problem is in your head, apex is a relaxing game for me. Not that I wouldn’t take it seriously but I don’t invest anything into it mentaly.
It's probably a coincidence but I managed to delete the account on old.reddit.com now about 1h later.
there are ways of making the index wireless if you've got deep pockets.
Honestly from personal experience, for reliability oculus is just a much safer bet than anything steam vr related and I'd rather pay 800 for a quest 2 than 1100 for the index. The difference in image quality is similar to that in scale, about 75% of the way there, and the ecosystem it runs on is close to flawless compared to steam. I know the quest 2 hardware is sold with a slight loss but I'd go as far as calling the valve index a scam for that kind of money.
