just one more turn and my grand strategy will be complete, wait actually one more turn, but wait there is that resource I need to get before I forget next time I boot up, oh but wait this construction finishes next turn and I need to optimize this city so lets just do one more turn, oh hello there sun.

You might not, and neither do I have a problem with it. I grew up low income and rode plenty of “sketchy” bus lines where fights would break out. I know when to remove yourself from danger.

Plenty of people I know have, or at least have that perception. My S/Os parents visited from out of the country, and they were harassed by someone screaming racist epithets at them and got scared, and ended up taking Uber the rest of the time they were here. They are old, retired, and we didn’t want to risk them getting uncomfortable. Obviously we have the privilege of doing that, but not everyone does.

Again, it’s not about being poor, it’s about antisocial behavior that destroys the public spaces. That goes for rich assholes too.

The price for adopting these types of construction in urban environments can be quite steep, especially if you’re trying to retrofit concrete buildings with new ventilation.

That’s a bit of a broad strike no? That’s like saying the invention of the modern computing is mostly a “hoax”, all they are capable of doing is adding numbers together faster than a human.

We already know we can transform certain problems that are computationally expensive to be solved by quantum computers. I’m sure more Algorithms can be developed to take advantage of that in the future as well.

Defecto “free” ridership has really hurt the local public transport system in the SF Bay Area.

Quite a lot of people refuse to take public transit due to risks of being harassed or witnessing open drug use. Easy to dismiss that as a guy personally, but I definitely think that creates an environment that’s hostile to many people who need to use or would otherwise be using public transit.

On the other hand, Margerite bus at Stanford has been free for decades, and it’s never been a significant issue there.

So it’s very difficult to generalize across different systems that have their own unique issues.

How does this bode for longevity?

Ever played fuck marry kill?

It can sometimes approximate the split. Though it’s not as clear for everyone. Some people the two are very closely related, for others, it’s completely separate.

I have 3-4 of them to control fruit flies and fungus mats. They do an excellent job.

Depends on your vessel. Honestly, it doesn't matter at all. It's not like rice where the water becomes a significant portion of the finished pasta. Just have enough water to cover the pasta without having to break it. Boiling duration, however, will heavily impact your pasta texture.

Don't forget to salt the water because unlike Asian noodles which usually have salt incorporated into the dough, packaged pasta does not.

That early childhood reading and direct interaction is super critical.

There is a lot of research now showing that stimulating early childhood education is one of the most cost-effective (and impactful) interventions to improve the educational and career outcomes for children.

Immigrant to the U.S.

I got my English name picked out of a hat when I took a summer English class in 1st grade by the teacher who assigned everyone English names. I decided to go with it since I thought it was a chill enough name after I moved to the U.S. a few years later.
