Yeah. I brought up this kind of issue in another post about Aussie.zone. I wondered if it was specific to them or just issues related to troubled lemmy upgrades.

I've only once played around with shortcuts and that was for a ChatGPT thing prior to the official app (and it still does more than that such as making Apple Music Playlists due to its integrations). Never tried to on the Mac. I still use automator there.

So along with my beehaw account I have an account on aussie.zone (which is still federating with beehaw as well as the reverse as far as I'm aware).

Anyway I opened that account secondarily so I could access a community thats on a instance beehaw doesn't federate with and so I subscribed to all the beehaw communities I had previously used and fifured I could just use the one for now.

Since then I have noticed a few federation werdnesses in relation to the beehaw communities subscribed to with that aussie.zone account and I'm a bit confused. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

With the beehaw community 'Humanities', from my aussie.zone account the community is empty. I see no posts or comments except for one post I made myself (and that post I can see from my beehaw account so it did get through).

With the beehaw 'entertainment' community, I made a post from my aussie.zone account and again the post went through as people on beehaw have upvoted and commented on the post, but none of the comments or upvotes are visible from my aussie.zone account.

It seems all very weird to me.

For some reason when I create a post and use both the link field and the body, Memmy does not display the body text after it’s posted (though it displays with MLem and the web).

Can’t say I have any issues with it. Well using it to generate stuff to then sell to me would bother me.Then again I have read books that use midjourney art, which I have technically paid for via Kindle Unlimited.

I imagine this has been brought up/suggested but I would have have thought including an option to replay to a comment if you long press on the comment would be an obvious UI element.

Sour Mandarins (self.gardeningaustralia)

So I have a dwarf mandarin tree that’s fruiting for maybe the second year and just as with last year the fruit so far is pretty damn sour.

Just how do I counteract this sourness? Is it a matter of the right plant food? Climate?

I still think Small Gods might be mine.

I’d always wondered about its origins, as a person who probably has read more slice of life fantasy and considered it pretty similar in being low stakes fantasy.

Glad to see this get up. Hopefully we’ll get more diverse rpg discussions than just D&D and derivatives :)

I think it’s a continuance. That looked to me like it was original voice actors and music plus some old footage. I’d think if it was a starting from scratch new adaptation they wouldn’t use old material like that even if they are using the same voice actors.

So hyped for this. The earlier seasons are amongst my all time fave anime.

Naah. I just use the public library for my gardening and food mag reading.

Organic Gardener is the main one I read, mostly because food creating plants are my main interest. Flowering plants, except in relation to attracting bees , just aren't of interest to me.

Gardening Australia I sporadically look at, as a hand me down from my mum.

Us Aussies sneak into the top 5, yay.

As for the age thing, I'll just say I have posted to usenet :)

Spring and Gardening (self.gardeningaustralia)

cross-posted from: https://beehaw.org/post/827670

So Spring approaches and yet again I have to look and deal with infestations of onion weed and nutgrass in my gardens.

So fucking wish there was a easy way to deal with this without resorting to chemicals.

People are idiots. But yeah I was thinking about the question more in relation to people feeling bad at the end of the book. Not during.

[–] quasar 1 points 2 years ago

If I can work out how to do so. My account is not on aussie.zone and I'm not sure I can just crosspost things to other non local communities. At least not without subscribing to them.

As I've enjoyed the prior audiobooks in the series I am happy to hear book 3 is coming up soonish, August 1st.

If anything it's the reverse I'd think. Just look at books without a Happily Ever After and how that's looked down on, and why its a requirement for Romance publishers.

So I recently finished the audiobook version of Knight's Bane by Kirk Mason . A fantasy romance featuring a vampire lady and a farmer turned knight.

A quite enjoyed it, though I've enjoyed much of Kirks other books which are mostly fantasy romances, mostly non monogamous ones.

The narrator, Savannah Thomas, was pretty good. First time I'd heard her narrate anything.
