Why do they think communism is far left?

Because whenever someone pulls out a number like that, it's always an American. I've even had some of them try to convince me it adds up to cca 50% like I don't know my brutto. And there's this "EU is a country" attitude to it.

The "50% tax" makes me think it is.

This post is very ignorant, especially "people aren't buying from EU" - most people are and most people do try to buy local, at least that's what I see. The only exceptions are tech and some junk food. But daily stuff, fashion, furniture etc - local or EU.

It's really not that complicated. I don't see what they could do to "simplify" it and not ruin it.

To make it easy, the new language would probably be based on a language with most speakers, be it native or learned, and it would further push smaller languages aside. Say, it's based off a germanic language. Germans or Dutch would learn it in a bit, but Slavic people might struggle.

Languages are tied to people and is a very important part of culture which is why fabricated languages would never even make it, but even if one made it, someone would have advantage in learning it and it's a powerful tool.

No, respecting diversity is one of main EU values, this could only lead to discrimination.

Honestly, this is past my expertise, I just know I like it. :) But I make sure to store stuff on physical media as well, I don't trust any service that much.

Proving once again USA will start another war, it's just a matter of time.

And never forget that most Americans either voted for this or simply didn't care.
