NPs working under a physician with actual oversight is fine. The ones I have problems with are the ones that have a physician sign the hundreds of notes a month while maybe reviewing a handful, and worse, the ones pushing for independent practice without even that sham of oversight involved.

At least I can rest assured of the fact that AI will be next to useless in my intended field. Emergency medicine is an environment where you get a random constellation of symptoms and complaints with very little direction on which are related to the current illness, and which ones are not currently relevant. Also, in the time it would take to get all the info into the AI for a trauma/cardiac/code situation, the patient might be dead or rapidly heading in that direction.
The enshittification of AirBnB actually makes me kind of grateful that I stand to inherit my parents' timeshare that essentially just has a bunch of condos all over the place that you can book each year.
Yeah, I'm a grad student with limited funds and I contributed to the server when I joined last summer. I don't really want to sacrifice this account, but if we can't interact with anyone else, it kind of defeats the purpose of being federated.
Makeship is having a sale on their new Glow in the Dark plushies. It's not a huge discount, but the proceeds go towards supporting independent artists which is always a good thing.
I think in this case it is more apt to realize that the artist painted this on the wall of his dining room in his house where he never had any visitors. The definition of "happiness" in this context would have to be a tad....malleable though.
Although he initially decorated the rooms of the house with more inspiring images, in time he painted over them all with the intensely haunting pictures known today as the Black Paintings. Created without commission for private display, these paintings may reflect the artist's state of mind late in a life that witnessed the violence of war and terror stoked by the Spanish Inquisition.
I'm grateful that none of our cadavers were unclaimed remains. All of them had info sheets with demographics, profession, and a brief health history. Our school also holds a Donor Memorial ceremony every year, but I don't know if that's common or ubiquitous among medical schools.
Given that there is the workaround of using the other screen and the Surface Duo 2 is probably not a very common device, I'd say that if there isn't a straightforward solution to not worry about it.
The "more options" does not work on posts on the right screen, it does work on the left screen.
I don't think I did. When they do work on the left screen I think they're different than I remember.
I'm not really sure. It's been doing this for about 2 weeks now, but I don't recall if there was an associated update as I don't remember exactly when it started. That's why I was hoping to find someone else having the same problem to look for correlations.
I once worked at a hospital in the ER where the department director was a union-busting bastard, but the CEO was pretty reasonable. After I left, one of the other ER techs went to the CEO about our pay being messed up and got everyone $5-6/hour raises to actual market rate. Also, there were a few weeks when we were really understaffed that the hospital encouraged admin folks to volunteer as "candystripers" in the ER to do stuff like help clean/turn over rooms, and answer patient call lights for water, blankets, etc. And the CEO was down in the ER for a couple hours every evening helping out most of that time period. It was encouraging to see the CEO of the hospital putting on some gloves and helping us with basic stuff like cleaning and stocking.
