I'm really enjoying the fediverse, not only Lemmy, but Mastodon as well. I was mostly a lurker on Reddit, but seeing this smaller space makes want to contribute, to interact more. It's been a bit hard to wrap my head around some concepts, I'm feeling like my parents discovering social media for the first time lol.
My biggest gripes so far are the app, and the lack of niche communities. I play lots of smaller, niche games, and it was nice having little cozy spaces to talk about them. And the app, I use Jerboa on my phone, and it still feels a bit rough, but I'm sure this will get better as the platform matures, and we get some more 3rd party alternatives. Hell, it might be a good incentive for me to finally study mobile development :D
I really enjoyed Igorrr! I think it has more middle-eastern influences, which I really dig! Thanks for the recommendations! :D
Keygen Church is SO GOOD. I really dig this fusion of metal, glitch (I guess? I don't really know a good term for it lol) and baroque music. I'll check Igorrr out, I've been craving something in that vein for the longest time!
There's SO MANY MODS. Many of the old ones are still kicking, some were adopted, some by the original developers. If you plan on doing a heavily moded gameplay, I'd suggest looking into optimization guides tho, some mods that used to be a must have back in the day now have better, performance-friendly options.
