this is the latest info I think. I recall there also being a statement early spring that one of the concerns was flooding the fediverse with a different culture due to size difference. Cant find that anymore, think it was on twitter somewhere.

@Bloonface@kbin.social One of the reasons why I like Kbin quite a bit. People tend to start identifying with the community and the software, and tend to take criticisms personal. Kbin does not have that history, and thus criticisms are less impactful.

It also explains why Mastodon has a serious pushback against search on masto servers like universeodon, but not against search on every other software such as *key

 

My ex is a pretty major swiftie, but I listen much to it. I do follow crypto scams pretty closely tho, something that did not interest her at all (which, fair).

So this news was one of the strangest ways of worlds colliding lol
