"My information I have been provided is that the male person has had some challenges and current pressures in life, and he has made some comments about that," he said.

Sounds like a potential suicide?

Bit of a shame for car enthusiasts. There are not many tracks around SE QLD.

However, the changing landscape in the motor industry, not least of which is the rise of electric vehicles, meant the economics of such a track no longer stacked up.

This doesn't make much sense. EVs can also be driven on a track. I'm guessing the real reason for stopping development is general economic concerns.

Dying and losing your runes in Elden Ring isn't as big a deal as you think. The runes you collect from general enemies throughout the game areas are mostly inconsequential across the whole length of the game. The bulk of your rune income is earned by killing bosses, and there's almost always a grace to spend those runes after you down a boss.

I used to get the same anxiety as you when playing Souls-likes. Once I accepted that losing my runes a few times is inevitable when navigating an area for the first time, that anxiety lifted and I could focus on just exploring and having fun.

This is so fucked. What's with all the knife crime lately? Is it increasing or is it just being reported more?

Slay the Spire

I have it and I think it’s kinda boring. I’m playing a necro, and while the class has some cool abilities, the game itself is kinda grindy. And I’m only level 30-something. The core gameplay loop of kill things, get new gear, repeat, just isn’t exciting enough to keep my attention.

Maybe it’s just not my genre?

The news for me is that they still had product development staff in Australia

Having worked in government for a brief stint, I can't bring myself to watch this show. It's just too real. Gives me flashbacks.

Inundated with applications...just like those houses.

I'll see myself out.

I'm done. Steve Huffman's comments have cinched it for me. The guy is a prick and doesn't give a shit about users in the slightest. I'm also welcoming the chance to disconnect from the mindless meme scrolling.

Oh haha yes I have seen Mean Girls, now I get it. Well I'm right here with you trying to make fetch happen so I guess we'll both be Gretchens(?!)

I'm not super familiar with how linking communities works here but I'll try my best.

If I browse the "technology" community on beehaw, it is quite active. If I sort by "hot" I see active posts from 1h ago as of this writing: https://beehaw.org/c/technology/data_type/Post/sort/Hot/page/1

So I am subscribed to that sub here on this instance, but if I view the community here and sort by "hot" the most recent post is from 1d ago. https://aussie.zone/c/technology@beehaw.org/data_type/Post/sort/Hot/page/1

But if I sort by "new", I do see those recent posts. So it seems just the sorting is different?

Maybe this isn't a big deal but it gives the impression that a community is much quieter than it actually is.

Hey all. I’m a recent reddit refugee and the /r/Brisbane sub is the one I’m gonna miss the most. It would be nice to make this community just as vibrant!

Anyone else here leaving reddit permanently? Or just trying this fediverse thing out?
