Great explanation thank you, excited to try all this out. When cooking prior, I've mostly put thought into ingredients nottechniques, so this is all very helpful.

Awesome. Will absolutely try that, sounds delish.

I had the idea for a puttanesca inspired sauce with cauluflower. Ended up tossing the cauliflower with oil, spices, diced kalamata olices, diced red onions, capers, and olive juice. Cauliflower was roasted at around 350 for about 45 mins give or take? Made a decent olive tomato sauce with all the trimmings which was nothing to write home about. Served with a roasted hoagie roll from last nights bbq.

Cauliflower was totally bland and NOT really the briney goodness i imagined...maybe it can be pickled and then seered? Is getting a cookes but briney cauliflower a tall order? Anyone have any experience with this, or have an idea about what I've overlooked? Would love any thoughts on the matter. xoxoxoxox

Different type of soundtrack, but Outer Wilds!

It's rock climbing shorter heights without a rope. Classically climbing a large freestanding boulder instead of a cliff face hence the name.

I'm planning on making some sort of putenesca-esque dish with cauliflower. I guess to serve over pasta, but I have some random grains i might use instead... Tbd

I like to describe them as "carrots with character" imo you can use them as carrots pretty equivalently (I've never had them raw) but they have a slightly sharper/earthier flavor. They're also less sweet which has lead some friends of mine to describe them as milder so your mileage may vary.

They've become one of my favorite vegetables however, especially in lenthis: check em out!

5d chess friend, they're operating on levels we can't even comprehend. give me a few hours and I'll think of some bullshit to explain it.

sometimes we get a lil serious :) seriously, boil ur water if u are there.

Check out this true mindbender of an album if you like music on the outside of scene. Experimental Folk is one way to describe it, but this wild album needs to be heard to be believed. The songs worm their way into your brain like a not-quite-right dream. Acoustic, electric, post apocalyptic, medieval. One of my favorite releases of 2022.
