Cost of servers and maintenance is really not that much, last I saw lemmy.world pays around 350€ per month.

You can use duckdns.org to create a subdomain, set the domain name to your local IP and then use let’s encrypt DNS challenge to issue a trusted certificate

Depending on your routers you might me able to set up a “site-to-site” VPN which means your Xbox could connect directly to your Jellyfins local IP
