it got better toward the end. when the Flood finally arrive. coming off of Fall of Reach, the tone just felt different.. i get its the first game but, i don’t know it read very action movie-ish in some sections, lacking depth here and there. i’m more excited to get back to Eric Nylund’s books lol
I'm just about to finish Halo: The Flood and move onto either Halo: First Strike or The Last Wish (since the new Witcher season is coming up).
what's Reddit?
the GOG summer sale is live as well!

there was a bit of a delay for me but not very long... you are looking in kbin.social/sub/microblog , correct? that is where "posts" appear.
i enjoyed it as well! i went back and played FC2 after FC3. 3 was my first foray into the series.
Far Cry 3 was a leap from previous titles, and the formula hit so hard that the subsequent offerings (4, 5, and now 6) have basically not deviated from that formula - for better or worse. 11 years later, that formula has gotten quite stale but back in 2012 it was so fresh and exciting i didn't even play another game for the entire year. and this was only one year post-Skyrim. ah... good times...
using a controller with BG3 actually feels really good. you can also adjust the zoom so you are more in a third person view as opposed to isometric (nearly over the shoulder camera). you can also play the game real-time with pause, which may or may not help push you along as you say you don't necessarily jive with turn-based.
i hope these things help you get into BG3. i personally LOVE isometric view and turn-based tactics but even if these things don't appeal to you, the game itself is such a breath of fresh air that i do not see myself putting it down for a long, long time.
have fun!!
