To be fair, it is marked as an Advertisement. Ads will always appear above your search results. Thats how they get you! /s

Weirdly i got some ad for a programme called Bigo Live - Live Stream,Chat as ad when searching for Discord.

Unusual, you should be scared if you use WhatsApp.

This simple trick disables ads in Gmail - but there's a catch in c/technology@lemmy.ml

edit: i just disabled adblockers.... still no ads.. Genuinely confused

edit2: OK read the article and none of the settings where there. Just went into my alt gmail account, and I have the ads and the settings mentioned in the article. I guess my main gmail account is so old (2010?) it does not have these features

I never answer the phone if i don't know the number between 16:30 and 18:00, its always the Chinese embassy telling... well I don't know, I don't speak the language.
